At The Healing Connection, our treatment philosophy is based on the knowledge that hope and healing in recovery happen within a context of connections.  New relationships – with self, with others, and the world – are vital to treatment and lasting recovery.

We recognize that the eating disorder will do everything in its power to sever positive relationships, leaving you or your loved one primarily connected to the disease. This often leads to feelings of isolation and loneliness.

Our treatment approach is family- and relationship-based, with an emphasis on building connections and repairing the disconnection caused by the eating disorder. We help patients and their families identify support systems and engage with them during treatment and discharge planning. These positive connections create a solid foundation for stable, long-term recovery.

Our Mission

The Healing Connection empowers members of our community who struggle with eating disorders and other mental health challenges to repair disconnection and reclaim their lives through treatment, education, and advocacy. We do this in an inclusive environment that engages individuals — and those who love and support them — in compassionate, evidence-based care.

Learning how the ED is a disease of disconnection was very helpful. The program helped us make connections with others. This is the key to making a full recovery . . . small, steady steps forward.
